Fuego vs Langua: Daily Activities or Flexible Calls?

Choose Langua for hands-free Call Mode and practice across a browser and mobile apps. Choose Fuego for push-to-talk conversation alongside a daily plan with a 1,000-word bank for each of its seven languages. Both provide AI feedback and vocabulary review. Langua also supports Polish. Fuego needs an internet connection and has no browser tutor, so it will not solve a requirement for desktop lessons or offline practice.

What is this comparison based on?

Fuego is our app. We checked the linked official product pages and US App Store listings on October 23, 2026, and checked Fuego against its product specification. This is a comparison of documented features, not a hands-on test of every competitor or a measured study of learning outcomes. Recommendations below are our judgment about which workflow fits each learner.

Prices are snapshots in US dollars where a public plan is identifiable. A store listing can contain several offers, including older ones; it does not promise that every account can buy each offer. Check the billing period and renewal total at checkout. We do not publish a fixed Fuego price because its store sets the local offer.

Do you need hands-free calls or deliberate turns?

A conversation that starts and stops with a button feels different from a call. Fuego lets you decide when to send your turn. That can be helpful when you need a moment to think, or want to hear the reply before recording again. It also means keeping a hand available.

Langua advertises hands-free Call Mode. That is a concrete reason to prefer it if button presses interrupt your practice. Its website also offers the tutor in a browser. Try the microphone on the device you intend to use: compatibility and background noise can matter more in daily use than the length of a feature list.

How will you use the corrections?

Langua documents selectable correction styles, conversation feedback and vocabulary tools. Fuego gives a session recap and lets you save words into spaced repetition cards. The overlap matters: a claim that only one app connects conversation to review would give the wrong impression.

Choose a review routine before choosing a subscription. For example, save a phrase you could not produce, recall it the next morning, then use it without looking during another conversation. You do not need to save every unfamiliar word. A smaller set that you reuse gives you a practical way to judge whether the app’s review tools fit your study.

Which Langua plan are you comparing?

Langua’s public website distinguishes a Standard plan with daily conversation limits from Unlimited. The US store uses Communicate in some plan names. Read the actual entitlement and period at checkout instead of assuming a label on one purchase channel means exactly the same thing on another.

Its help center also distinguishes a brief conversation you can start without subscribing from an extended Pro offer that requires payment details. A promise made for a web purchase does not automatically apply to an Apple purchase. Check where you are buying and where the subscription will be managed before proceeding.

Who should choose each app?

For someone who studies at a desk, switches devices, and wants calls without holding a button, Langua has clear practical advantages. Fuego cannot provide that workflow. For someone who studies on a phone and wants a tutor with word packs, listening and a daily plan, Fuego is worth trying.

Language breadth is another real difference. Langua’s official list includes languages outside Fuego’s seven; if yours is among them, the choice is straightforward. If both offer your language, compare the same conversation and one day of review. More languages in the catalog do not by themselves tell you how well either one handles your current mistakes.
