Your private French tutor, by voice or by text. Learn French by actually speaking it.

French looks polite on paper and sounds like one long word out loud. Talk to me anyway. I answer, I keep it going, and I fix what matters.

A first chat

YouCe matin, je suis allé au boulangerie pour acheter un croissant.

FuegoUn seul croissant ? Tu es plus raisonnable que moi. Tu y vas tous les matins ?

Better: Ce matin, je suis allé à la boulangerie pour acheter un croissant.

Boulangerie is feminine, so it is à la, not au.

The parts of French I help with most

  1. What you hear is not what you read

Half the letters are silent and the words run together. Replay any reply of mine, as slowly as you need.

  2. Le or la

Every noun has a gender and none of them tell you. I catch it in your sentences until it starts to feel obvious.

  3. Tu or vous

Too formal sounds cold, too casual sounds rude. Ask me which one fits, and I will tell you why.

Start with the words

  1. 1 oui yes
  2. 2 non no
  3. 3 salut hello
  4. 4 au revoir goodbye
  5. 5 s'il vous plaît please
  6. 6 merci thank you
  7. 7 pardon sorry
  8. 8 excusez-moi excuse me

How lessons go

  1. We talk.

Hold to speak, or type. Rough is fine.

  2. I review.

After each chat you get a short recap: what went well, the words worth keeping, and the corrections.

  3. You practice.

Your mistakes and new words come back as flashcards, listening and reading.

Questions

Can I start French from zero?

Yes. Tell me you are new and I start with short, simple sentences and explain in your language. As you grow, I switch to French a little more each week.

Do I have to speak out loud?

No. Hold the button and speak when you feel like it, or type. It is the same tutor with the same corrections either way.

Do I need an account?

No. Open the app and start talking. There is nothing to sign up for.
